Bullet For My Valentine, Asking Alexandria headlining PULP Slam 14
MANILA, Philippines - In the scalding summer heat on April 26, 2014 the British will be planting their flags on Philippine soil once again for the 14th year of the most brutal metal festival in Southeast Asia, Pulp Summer Slam. Keep your women and loved ones close for the Children of the Damned (this year’s festival theme) will stand up and scream through the streets to the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City until their hearts burst into fire.
For the first time in Pulp Slam history, metalheads across the country and beyond will thrash in the fiery circle pits possessed by the heavy music of two of Great Britain’s headlining metal acts, Bullet For My Valentine and Asking Alexandria.
Hailing from Bridgend, Wales, heavy metal hit-makers, Bullet For My Valentine will be hitting its 16th year in the music scene in 2014. Comprised of Matt Tuck (vocals, guitar), Michael “Padge†Paget (guitar), Michael “Moose†Thomas (drums) and Jason James (bass), they have thrown the most explosive shows in festivals worldwide, hit the charts, been certified gold and scored numerous titles in award shows. Early this year, the band launched its fourth full-length record, Temper Temper.
Since the release of its third studio album, From Death to Destiny, the name Asking Alexandria remains to be marked on the lips of metalcore fans everywhere. With the latest record debuting on the Billboard Top 200 charts at No. 5, Danny Worsnop (vocals, keys), Ben Bruce (lead guitar), Cameron Liddell (guitar), James Cassells (drums) and Sam Bettley (bass) from North Yorkshire have proven that they’re definitely made of sterner stuff since their inception in 2008. In the past year alone, they’ve sold-out concert venues across Europe and North America, shared the stage with Korn, to capping 2013 off with Sevendust, All That Remains, For Today and Emmure.
The two super popular metal bands that each enjoy millions of followers across the globe will be joined by other legendary metal acts such as Hatebreed, Kreator, Death Angel, The Black Dahlia Murder and Japanese metal sensations Crossfaith.
