Real or not, yes, they believe that there's a Santa Claus

Here is the continuation of the celebrity forum, “Do you believe in Santa Claus?”

• Aiko Melendez: I used to believe when I was not studying the Bible yet. Each one of us can actually be a Santa Claus by being generous to other people. For me, Santa Claus is just a symbolism that Christmas is about giving without expecting for anything in return.

• Dante Ponce: Yes. I believe in Santa Claus and will always believe in him. The way I see it, all of us have  Santa Claus in us. We all have the capability of sharing, loving others and giving without expecting anything in return. Therefore, in order for Santa to exist amongst us, we should continue to share not just material things but also happiness and love to everyone.

• Sitti: I believe in the modern-day Santa Claus that we have in our everyday lives. Generous individuals in our own families, and the anonymous ones who share what they have with those they do not personally know.

• Lance Raymundo: I believe in Santa Claus! Even in my early childhood, my parents have taught me about the real concept of “Santa Claus.” He isn’t exactly a big guy who secretly enters our house through the chimney, but rather, he is a magical and spiritual energy that lives within every human (dad, mom, relatives, friends and myself) that makes the Christmas holiday joyful and merry! So every time people do something extra special for one another during the holidays, it always reaffirms the existence of Santa Claus.

• Janice Hung: I believe in Santa Claus. It goes beyond the man with the huge beard and the red costume he wears every Christmas, but it’s the ideology of giving. Everyone can be Santa Claus.

• Renz Verano: Yes because Santa brings out the smile in every child’s face which also brings out the child in every person.

• Lisa Macuja: I used to believe in Santa Claus until I was about 11. Then my parents told me the truth about Santa. I do believe that the idea of earning a present from Santa by being good is still a great concept. All of us can always use some positive reinforcement. However, I do think that Christmas has become too commercial and materialistic over time.

• Young JV: Yes, I believe in Santa Claus and I still want to believe in him ’coz thinking of him makes me happy. I had such fond memories of those days. Letters for Santa, and waking up after midnight to open the gifts in the list I asked for was so magical and thrilling. I’d want my children to have Santa in their lives that would leave a smile on their lips just thinking of him.

• Jett Pangan: No, but the idea of Santa makes Christmas happier.

• RJ Agustin: Yes I believe in Santa Claus. He represents the spirit of giving. I haven’t seen Santa physically. But I believe that we all have a Santa Claus “the spirit of giving” in our heart.

• LJ Reyes: No, but I believe in the hope that Santa Claus brings to children of all ages.

As for me, I believe in Santa Claus. I had an inflatable Santa I kept for many years as a child. I would blow air into my Santa, for him to come alive. He gave me faith to believe in the magic of Christmas.
