Sam is Eugene’s love interest in Kimmy Dora prequel

Yugel Losorata - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The much-awaited release of Kimmy Dora’s prequel movie has all indications it will outdo the first two films  Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme and Kimmy Dora: Temple sa Kiyeme — of the Eugene Domingo-starred franchise. The actress fondly called “Uge” considers the hilariously titled flick Ang Kiyemeng Prequel as “the most challenging in the series.”

But more tickling is her revelation that her kissing scene with Sam Milby is the best yet she has experienced in front of the camera.

Eugene said, “Since this is a prequel, everything has to step back — from the twin’s ways and how they think. I’ve also discovered that I enjoy doing fight scenes over love scenes!”

Then she quipped, “I would have to say that Sam’s kiss is the best so far in all of my movies. And that wasn’t on lips!”

Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel tackles fresh grads Kimmy and Dora’s internship to manage their family’s chain of businesses in the future. The summa cum laude Kimmy starts to possess the makings of a strong leader while Dora keeps it modest and relates to the employees of the company.

The two need to experience working as first-layer staff and take on different tasks — from being security guards to flight attendants. Their rigorous internship will be spearheaded by Rodin Bartolleti, a Human Resources head played by top leading man Sam.

Winning Rodin’s heart serves as one of the biggest challenges for twins.

The movie, under the direction of Chris Martinez and with Joyce Bernal as the film’s editor, is Spring Film’s official entry to the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival which opens Dec. 25. It is co-produced by Quantum Films and MJM Productions.
