Tria Bascon is Awit bet

MANILA, Philippines - Tria Bascon’s first album Wanderlust is a finalist in six categories for the 2013 Awit annual awards set for Dec. 11.

The six nominations are for Best Collaboration (With a Little Help From My Friends with The CompanY); Song of the Year (Magkikita Pa Rin Naman Tayo composed by Moy Ortiz); Best Musical Arrangement (With a Little Help From My Friends arranged by JD Villanueva); Best Vocal Arrangement (With a Little Help From My Friends arranged by Moy Ortiz); Best Engineered Recording (I’m Old Fashioned by Dominic Benedicto at Asiatec Pink Noise Studio); and Music Video Of The Year (La Belle Vie, producers Tria, Moy, Chuck Gutierrez and Voyage Studios).

In between continuing to perform internationally in shows, concerts and gigs, Tria would like to do more albums in due course to further her reputation as a talented and distinctive chanteuse.

After performing on the Swan Hellenic luxury liner, Minerva as guest Artiste with British jazz band, Tuxedo Class, as it cruised the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas, Tria completed a four-month contract at the Lobby Court in the Singapore Shangri-La Hotel in early April 2013.

After completing the contract, Tria is currently taking time out to pursue a long held dream of improving her skills in other languages commencing with Italian. She was based in Rome for three months to participate in an intensive Italian language course at the Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci.

One of Tria’s idols is Barbra Streisand, whom she saw up close in a concert at the 02 Arena.
