Alyz Henrich of Venezuela is Miss Earth 2013

MANILA, Philippines- Alyz Henrich of Venezuela is crowned Miss Earth 2013.

Ms. Austria Katia Wagner was named Miss Earth Air, Ms. Thailand Punika Kulsoontornrut was named Miss Earth Water, while Ms. Korea Catharina Choi was crowned Miss Earth Fire,

During the question and answer portion, Ms. Venezuela was asked: “How does eco tourism contribute to the protection of the environment?”

To this, she answered: “We people are responsible also for destruction our nature. We need to be aware and take care of mother earth.”

Meanwhile, Philippines’ bet Angelee delos Reyes was able to make it up to the Top 8.

During the question and answer portion she was asked, “It's been a month since Haiyan hit the Philippines, how do you think mother Earth feels now?”

Angelee’s answer: “It feels like Mother Earth is really sad. I think typhoon Yolanda happened as a wakeup call for us to realize that we must take care of one another and we must take care of one another for the generations to come.”

Ms. Venezuela was emotional as Miss Earth 2012 Tereza Fajksova turnover her crown to her.
