1st Mister Global Tourism Philippines winners

MANILA, Philippines - The Mister Global Tourism Philippines 2013 winners were proclaimed on Nov. 30 at the Music Museum in Greenhills, from left: Althan John Quinto, fourth runner-up; Niño de Ocampo, third runner-up; Benjie Nuevaespana, winner; Stephen Cativo, first runner-up; and Myles John Palisoc, second runner-up. Benjie was also the recipient of four special awards namely: Best in Swimwear, Best in Costume, Mister Photogenic and Mister Sundance. Palisoc was chosen Best in Formal Wear and Mister FX Exchange while de Ocampo was Mister Informatics. The bedimpled grand winner will compete in the Mister Global Tourism 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa with finals on Dec. 14. The male pageant aims to promote unity and encourage tourism globally. The eventual winner will work with the Society for Child Education Foundation, carry out its theme 'Walk to Educate a Child' and push for world prison reform initiatives. —Reported by Celso de Guzman Caparas
