Solar lanterns for typhoon victims

MANILA, Philippines - Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres Gomez and husband Richard Gomez show a donation of 4,000 solar lanterns for Ormoc typhoon victims from the Global Peace Foundation (GPF) during the Global Peace Leadership Conference 2013 at the Manila Hotel recently. Coinciding with the turnover of donation was the launch of GPF’s Global Peace Volunteer Assembly, a pool of volunteers for disaster response. With them (from left) are GPF Korea president David Yoo; GPF Philippines chairperson Dr. Primitivo Chua; GPF International president James Flynn; GPF Asia representative Jinsoo Kim; and GPF Philippine president Dr. Michael Zablan.
