Startalk wins Best Showbiz Talk Show

MANILA, Philippines - This is the trophy that the GMA Saturday afternoon show Startalk won as Best Showbiz Talk Show at the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC’s) Star Awards for TV the other night.

Startalk has been on air for 18 years, the longest-running show of that kind, surviving several similar shows on the other networks, thanks to the hardworking producers and staff who tirelessly look for breaking news week after week.

Through the years, Startalk has undergone changes in hosts. It started with Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino and Lolit Solis; followed by Boy, Dawn Zulueta and Lolit; then by Boy, Lolit and Rosanna Roces; by Butch Francisco, Lolit and Rosanna; by Butch, Lolit and Lorna Tolentino; and then by Butch, Lolit, Joey de Leon and Ricky Lo.
