#Surge concert for flood victims

MANILA, Philippines - #Surge, a pop-up concert for relief fund to support victims of Typhoon Yolanda, will be held on tomorrow, Nov. 17 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, Pasay City.

Set to perform are Kuh Ledesma, Tessie Tomas and Mitch Valdes, Laarni Lozada, Isabela Gonzalez, PWU Ensemble, Pop Music Ensemble and Festival Chorus, the De La Salle Manila Chorale, PWU Pep Squad, Hadiya Ladip and China de Asis, DJ Johnny Too Fresh, Indio — I and CHAD Gold.

Private donors have pledged to match the funds to be raised from the sales of the tickets which are priced at P200 each. The event is an opportunity to mobilize student volunteers for emergency relief operations of the government and private sector, he added.

Proceeds from #Surge will go to Habitat for Humanity Philippines for emergency shelters and rehabilitation of schools damaged by Typhoon Yolanda and Kabisig ng Kalahi, feeding program for children.
