Stars dazzle at Petit Monde’s Fashion Week debut

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino fashion brand Petit Monde debuted at the recent Philippine Fashion Week 2013, with a show at the SM Mall of Asia, featuring its Spring-Summer 2014 collection and highlighting its celebrity endorsers, both past and present.

The show was opened by Maja Salvador who wore a refreshing floral outfit featuring a skater skirt. The actress said that she agreed to be the face of Petit Monde because she personally likes the brand’s clothes.

“I have moods in what I feel like wearing. The great thing about Petit Monde is that they have clothes for all those moods. If I feel extra girly, they have clothes for that. If I feel like looking more polished, they also have clothes for that,” Maja added.

Sunshine Cruz, one of the original Petit Monde models, reminisced the time when she first walked on the runway 13 years ago, and it was also for Petit Monde. “I felt nervous because this is so different from facing the cameras. But when I got the feel of it during the rehearsals, I felt at home,’’ says the star of the teleserye Galema.

Ana Roces also paraded down the runway in outfits from the brand’s latest collection.

Stylist to the stars Pam Quinones styled the collection for the show under the direction of  Joey Espino.

Owned by sisters Carolyn Tan-Chong and Dorothy Tan-Tionson, Petit Monde has been dressing up stylish, young Filipina women for over two decades now. They are the first local brand to use celebrities as endorsers.

After Fashion Week, the clothes will be available at Petit Monde boutiques nationwide.
