ABS-CBN ventures into TV shopping
MANILA, Philippines - With the advanced technology today, people like it better if what they need is given in the easiest and most convenient way.
ABS-CBN has seen a great opportunity in this and decided to venture once again in the world of TV shopping.
ABS-CBN top honcho Gabby Lopez said that venturing in this business is not new to them since they’ve tried it in the 90s. But due to some factors, they’ve decided to close it down.
Yet, Lopez said that in this failure, they have learned one lesson, “we need a strong and competent partner.â€
This is why in their new attempt in the world of TV shopping, they partnered with the Korean-based company, CJ O Shopping Group, which is headed by Mr. Harry Lee.
Lopez is very optimistic with this new partnership, especially since “in the last two weeks of test broadcast has showed very encouraging results.â€
Aside from Korean products, there are also ABS-CBN merchandise sold in this channel like the complete “Juan dela Cruz†clothing line, Kris Aquino-branded products and UAAP merchandise.
The products and its demonstration could be seen 24/7 at channel 11 for Destiny and Sky Cable, while it airs 1-2am and 5-6am Monday to Friday at Studio 23 and 1-2am Saturdays and Sundays at Studio 23, and also in ABS-CBN Channel 2 after “Banana Nite†“Sports Unlimited†and “Sunday’s Best.â€
Their demonstrations are hosted by Victor Anastacio, Charlotte Barredo, Cara Eriguel, Hiyasmin Neri, Lara Sayo and Virginia Pozon.
