It’s virtually a Teng vs Teng bout in tomorrow’s (Oct. 12) final game in the current UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) season, with the brothers’ teams competing with each other for the championship title — Jeron Teng for La Salle’s Green Archers and Jeric Teng for UST’s Growling Tigers.

Meanwhile, the 89th NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) is midway through the second round of its elimination phase. After a few more games, the Final Four will be known, with San Beda College and Letran College assured of slots as of this writing, according to sport/showbiz specialist Nap Gutierrez who helped Funfare prepare today’s piece.

“Like in UAAP, the NCAA also has its own hardcourt heartthrobs who are idols in their schools,” noted Nap who also drew the UAAP “hot” list several months ago. “They are the players who could be actors or models if they want to be.”

As he did with his UAAP listing, Nap likewise picked out his Top 5 NCAA favorites (“Based on good looks, appeal, and hardcourt versatility”) — 1. Anthony Semerad (San Beda), 2. David Semerad (San Beda), 3. Mark Cruz (Colegio de San Juan de Letran), 4. Jamil Ortouste (San Sebastian College), and 5. Jonathan Grey (College of St. Benilde).
