Maria Mercedes guests in ABS-CBN comedy shows

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines’ Maria Mercedes, Jessy Mendiola, pays a visit to the set of Kapamilya comedy show Banana Split: Extra Scoop to join the cast in a series of spoofs of Pinoy TV’s favorite shows of past and present in celebration of ABS-CBN’s 60 years of television today.

As this weekend’s special guest, Jessy is set to add a fresh flavor to the Banana Split: Extra Scoop cast members’ take on the special moments of before and the biggest stories of today.

Apt for the celebration as the main star of the ’90s hit telenovela, Jessy’s presence in Banana is the perfect way for everyone to have fun with her before the new series kicks off on Oct. 7.

The Saturday episode also brings even more laughter into the picture with the upcoming episode of Toda Max, where stars Vhong Navarro, Angel Locsin and Ai-Ai delas Alas will be joined by German “Kuya Germs” Moreno, along with guests Nene Tamayo, Bea Saw, Keanna Reeves and Slater Young in a take on the issues of Kuya Germs’ former housemates.

Even Sunday will be bringing all sorts of fond memories, as Igiboy Flores returns to the set of LUV U, where he will guide the school’s current students, played by Nash Aguas, Alexa Ilacad, Jairus Aquino, Sharlene San Pedro, Kobi Vidanes and Mika dela Cruz.
