More energy from JV

MANILA, Philippines - Young JV is now called JV. He announced it during the launch of his repackaged album Doin’ It Big: Platinum Edition and received his Gold Record award held recently on ABS-CBN’s ASAP 18 and promoted his latest single Ngiti.

JV got more energy from Ngiti as he collaborated it with Gary Valenciano. It is the album’s newest dance track. The song is fit to a T both to JV and Gary V because aside from showing their terpsichorean skills, the song relays a message of hope. Both JV and Gary V’s songs as well as their personalities were known for spiritual and inspirational messages. Ngiti was composed by  JV, with Gary V singing with him in his mind.

How did he convince Gary V to sing the song with him?  “At first, sabi ko sa kanya sa dressing room nya, Tito Gary pakinggan nyo lang po and after that he said, ‘I like it, let’s do it now.’ From there, sabi ko wow, this is a great blessing and for Tito Gary to say yes it means a lot,” says JV.

That pushed the green button for JV and kicked off to promote the latest single. Aside from the usual TV and radio promo, he started doing the rounds of bar tour, the first one was held at Hyve in Fort Bonifacio. As expected, the bar crowd partied with JV as he sang and danced the night away.

Produced by Star Records and Doin’ It Big Productions, JV’s repackaged album Doin’ It Big: Platinum Edition features 11 tracks including special collaborations Ngiti; Your Name, which JV sang with PBB winner Myrtle Sarrosa; Boy Meets Girl with Yeng Constantino; Alay with Akiko; Rock This Town with Laze and Yumi; and Hurts So Bad with Karylle. Completing the tracklist are Get Up And Dance, Kailan Kaya, Tanong, Got To Have You and Pinas.
