The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The much-talked about and much-awaited seventh Star Magic Ball happened last Sept. 7 at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City. The guests arrived at the venue and walked down the red carpet in their most stylish attire.

It was a night like no other. The brightest stars in showbiz graced the event with their white, black and champagne gowns and suits that were designed by most promising and top fashion designers in the local industry.

Photographers, reporters and entertainment writers from TV, print and online rolled their cameras and recorders away to get their scoops from the event. This is also the second year that E! News channel covered the Star Magic Ball.

After the cocktails, the attendees proceeded at the ballroom and the program proper began with a song number rendered by the event’s main host, Concert King Martin Nievera, with his hit You Are My Song. ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio gave her opening remarks that night.

Yeng Constantino serenaded the attendees with two song numbers, before the culmination of a mini-fashion show that showcased the fine works of internationally-acclaimed fashion designer, Michael Cinco.

Four special awards were given to the following: Kim Chiu and Xian Lim for Moet & Chandon’s Most Fabulous Pair; Empress and Joseph Marco for O+ Stars of the Night; Maja Salvador and Gerald Anderson for Best Dressed Pair; and  Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla for Couple of the Night.
