Luis addresses breakup rumor with Jennylyn anew

MANILA, Philippines - Luis Manzano is once again being rumored to have broken up with Kapuso actress-girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado. This is amid reports that the actress is allegedly asking for money from Patrick Garcia in exchange for visitation rights to their son, Alex Jazz.

In a taped interview with ABS-CBN late news program “Bandila” on Monday, September 2, the Kapamilya host said he and Jennylyn are still together.

“Di ba kasal na nga raw kami? Yang breakup na 'yan, actually, six months ago pa yata 'yan, e. And a few months ago, may kasal,” he told “Bandila.”

Luis added: â€œAng relasyon naman, dalawa lang 'yan, e. Either magkakatuluyan kayo or maghihiwalay kayo. Masyadong 50-50.”

Luis and Jennylyn have been the subject of numerous rumors since they admitted their relationship in 2011. But the 32-year-old TV host-actor has already gotten used to the intrigues.

Meanwhile, in an interview with entertainment news site PEP.ph, Luis defended Jennylyn against allegations that she’s asking Patrick for money.

“I know Jen, I know how much money she makes kahit paano. I don’t know the exact figures, but I know she’s very blessed, and Jen is not the type na isip-pera,” he said.

The showbiz sweethearts are currently headlining competing morning shows: Luis hosts “Minute To Win It” while Jennylyn hosts the reality show “Anak Ko ‘Yan!”
