Sunshine Cruz denies she has a boyfriend

MANILA, Philippines - Sunshine Cruz denied rumors that she currently has a boyfriend.

Speaking to entertainment media at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Quezon City on Tuesday, August 13, she said, “Natatawa na lang ako. Sa palagay ninyo, babalik ko sa inyo, wala.”

The Kapamilya actress added, “Kayo naman ang makakapagpatunay kung sino akong babae at sino lang ang minahal ko.”

Rumors about Sunshine’s current love life allegedly came from Cesar himself via the mobile photo sharing service Instagram.

Sunshine said she’s now preparing to live a life without Cesar. The actress recently made a showbiz comeback via the ABS-CBN afternoon soap opera “Dugong Buhay.”

"I’m saving money because 'di pwede umasa sa isang tao na masama ang loob kapag nagbibigay ng anuman,” she said.

“I'm working double time to buy a house for me and my children, kasi nga nag-re-rent lang kami ngayon,” Sunshine added.

The actress left Cesar January of this year following reports that the actor is having an affair with a starlet.

Sunshine filed a criminal complaint against Cesar for physical abuse and rape. According to the actress, Cesar has also denied her access to their three children since July 29.

“Mawala na lahat, huwag lang anak ko. Napakasakit sa akin because I've been a devoted wife and mother to my children. Sinakripisyo ko nga lahat para maalagaan ko mga anak ko. Tapos parang pusa ka na lang na tinanggalan ng mga kuting? Masakati na masakit sa ina yung nangyari,” she said.

Asked if she can handle a full-time career as an actress and facing the charges against Cesar, Sunshine said, “Kaya ko yun. Kakayanin ko yun.”
