Yes, it’s Delon!

MANILA, Philippines - The surname of French actor Alain Delon was misspelled with an “i” in the title of last Sunday’s Remember When, ruffling the feathers of RW columnist Danny Dolor. Among those who called our attention was election lawyer Romy Macalintal, texting, “so nostalgic as memories of youthful days suddenly flashed back with such lovely, young and beautiful face of (in photo with Delon at the airport) Susan Roces, Daisy Romualdez and Josephine Estrada (rightmost, unidentified in RW), the latter being a former Miss Press Photography if I remember right. Also, I wonder where her contemporary, Cynthia Ugalde, is now.”

Here’s good news for Romy and other beauty-watchers: Cynthia (who is turning 68 on July 25) and her husband, Dr. Oscar Pelaez Tan, have resettled in the Philippines. Last Saturday, July 20, the Tans attended the fellowship of the Rotary Club of Diliman North, Quezon City. Photo (taken during Cynthia’s birthday bash) shows Cynthia and Oscar with their daughter-in-law Natasha Gorbachev and son Omar, and only daughter Camille.
