The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Craving for something adventurous and something Filipino. Whether you’re looking for something sweet, salty or sour, you’re in luck. This month, the Solar News Channel gives everyone Something to Chew On.

It’s going to be a feast for the mind and a treat for the appetite in the new show. Because you’re going to get a taste of all the Philippines has to offer. We’re not just talking about food.

Hosted by Xandra Rocha, Something to Chew On promotes  the Philippines, its people and culture, one specialty at a time. It’s a show that gives televiewers a taste of life in each province it visits.

Xandra said, “There are so many places that aren’t so popular that some people wouldn’t even think about visiting. You know, they’re not sure of what’s there, they’re not sure [of] what to do, how to get around, so I hope it really does inspire them to explore more of it.”

It’s the food adventurer’s guide to interesting Philippine specialties, and we just can’t wait to grab a bite. Catch the  exciting new show starting July 27 at 7:30 p.m. only on the Solar News Channel.

Meanwhile, Solar News Channel is taking eveyrone around the country one more time for What I See Season 2.

Hosted by travel photographer Paco Guerrero, What I See is not your usual travel program. Paco describes it as “a hybrid between a travel show and a documentary show, and just to make things more confusing, photography is also thrown in there.”

So prepare yourselves for a visual delight with a heart because Paco is on a mission to find out “What makes us Filipino?” We know that the Philippines is a unique and beautiful country; this time, we’re exploring why.

Catch it on July 28.
