Craving for good ol' alt rock? Matchbox 20 coming to Manila in November

MANILA, Philippines - Alternative pop rock group Matchbox 20 will rock Manila's music scene on November 8 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"We're headed to the Philippines! We're very excited to announce that we'll be coming to the Philippines on November 8th at the Mall of Asia Arena!" the group posted Saturday on their Facebook page.

The post has earned over 1,300 likes as of posting time, with excited 90's music fans saying that they have waited for the group to finally set foot in the Philippines.

"I have been waiting for them to visit for more than ten years!" Matchbox fan Steph Liban confessed.

As of posting time, there are no ticket prices nor details yet on the event, but the band will be coming from a concert in Hong Kong before their Manila performance.

The band, currently on a Summer Tour co-headlining with Goo Goo Dolls, is expected to perform hits from their latest album "North" released in the US in 2011.
