Kris, James agree on Bimby’s visitation schedule

MANILA, Philippines – Professional basketball player James Yap and actress and presidential sister Kris Aquino on Monday agreed to fix the days when Yap would be allowed to see their son James "Bimby" Yap Jr.

James and Kris appeared at the 2 p.m. hearing held at the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 140, which was presided by Judge Cristina Sulit.

Kris arrived with son Bimby and eldest sister Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Aurora Corazon "Pinky" Aquino-Abellada and Victoria Elisa "Viel" Aquino-Dee.

Yap, meanwhile, was accompanied by actor Mike Gayoso.

After the almost two-hour hearing, Kris and James emerged from the court room and were apparently happy with the decision. The court allowed James to visit Bimby three times a week: every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

It would be recalled that Yap had earlier filed an "Urgent Motion for Provisional Award of Visitation Rights," which is related to the civil case filed by Kris to declare their marriage null and void.

Emerging from the hearing, Kris thanked Judge Sulit for her decision.

"I think the decision of Judge Sulit today, ang inayos niyang (she is ironing out the) agreement between both parties, would really benefit my son very much and I’m grateful to her,” Kris said.
