Man of Steel director thanks Pinoy fans

MANILA, Philippines - Man of Steel director Zack Snyder (photo) has expressed his gratitude to Filipinos via a video message for giving the movie “a huge, huge welcome” when it opened here two weeks ago, smashing the record for biggest first-day gross in history with P69.52M.

“Mabuhay Philippines! I’m Zack Snyder. Thank you for giving Man of Steel a huge, huge, huge welcome, becoming the Philippines’ biggest opening ever! Thank you so much,” Snyder, who previously directed 300 and Watchmen, said in his message.

To date, Man of Steel has grossed an astonishing P346M after 12 days of release, becoming the most successful title ever for Warner Bros. Philippines.

The epic action-adventure from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Picture tells the story of a young boy who learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do.
