Mikael, Andrea to join the Hugyaw Silay Festival 2013

MANILA, Philippines - What better way to kick off GMA Network’s newest morning soap With A Smile bannered by Mikael Daez and Andrea Torres than to bring it to Silay City, Negros Occidental’s “seat of arts, culture and heritage.”

With A Smile stars will take part of Silay City’s annual festivities popularly known as the Hugyaw Silay Festival, the city’s Charter Day Celebration, today. The festival showcases Silay’s rich culture and history with the Lin-ay Sang Silay and the Hugyaw Kansilay Street Dancing Competition as main events.

Joining Andrea and Mikael is Fashbook host Solenn Heussaff together with Protégé: The Battle for the Big Artista Break’s grand winner Jeric Gonzales. The Kapuso Fiesta, which will also coincide with the 115th Independence Day celebration of the country, will be held at the Silay Public Plaza at 7 p.m.

Prior to the Kapuso Fiesta in Silay City, Andrea and Mikael will both head first to Bacolod City for a Kapuso Barangayan on the same day. Their fans from Barangay Bata will get the chance to see the love team upclose starting at 3 p.m. Barangay Granada is their second stop, where a meet-and-greet with Andrea and Mikael awaits fans at 4 p.m.

Mikael says he misses Negros Occidental, “Ang tagal ko nang hindi nag-re-regional dun, so I’m so excited because I know there’s Team Mikael Bacolod there, and I’m excited to see all of them again and do the show because ‘yung last experience ko sa Negros napakasaya nila. And of course, I want to bring a smile to all of them because our next show is With A Smile and sana talaga magustuhan ng mga taga-Bacolod.”

With A Smile will air weekdays beginning June 17 after Unexpected You.
