Andrea is next Judy Ann

MANILA, Philippines - Gil Soriano, director of the original Annaliza in the ’80s, was all praises for rising teleserye princess Andrea Brillantes (photo) for her portrayal as Annaliza and even tagged her as the next Judy Ann Santos.

During the program’s thanksgiving party recently, Gil said, “She is really good. I think she will stay long in showbiz. She may be the next Judy Ann Santos.”  

The veteran director also expressed how happy he is with the 2013 remake of Annaliza and commended the whole cast and crew for a job well done. “I really like it. When I saw the trailer, I told myself that this show would surely rate.”  

During its pilot week, Annaliza immediately soared high in national TV ratings. Now, more viewers are getting hooked on the touching story of kind-hearted little girl Annaliza. This week, Guido (Zanjoe Marudo) and Stella (Kaye Abad) will get to know each other more and fall in love with each other. With Annaliza fully supporting her dad, Guido will ask Stella’s hand in marriage. Will Stella say yes to Guido? Is Stella the mother Annaliza has been waiting for?  

Annaliza airs weeknights before TV Patrol on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.
