Breaking boundaries in TNF 100

MANILA, Philippines - The North Face Philippines once again challenged outdoor enthusiasts to break all boundaries in its biggest event for the summer, the TNF 100.

Known for its high-quality, technical outdoor gear and apparel, The North Face (TNF) has consistently remained a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. As such, the brand is proud to hold the TNF 100, a repeat of the famed 2012 Baguio-Benguet route. Known as the toughest race in the country, it was attended by some of the most competitive marathon runners around who tested their endurance amidst the chilly Baguio weather and the challenging terrain. For many of the 100k runners who participated in the event, it was a great chance for them to prove themselves and their skills as they tried to finish within the 30-hour cut off time, something that only 33 percent of last year’s participants achieved. For the elite runners, they were able to try to beat their previous best finishing times. This year, participants were divided into three classes 11k, 22k and 50k.

Aside from the Philippines, the TNF 100 is also being held in other countries such as Australia, Singapore, China, Japan and Thailand. It is done in the most challenging, unspoiled and breathtaking landscape in each of its host countries. The TNF 100 tests the limits of human endurance, celebrating the passion for the outdoors that it exemplifies.

Around 1,500 runners of various ages and skills level took part in the race, representing 15 different nationalities. The event was a show of skill and perseverance, proving that as long as you set your mind to achieving your goal, you will be able to achieve it. It also helps that you go through such challenges with the right TNF gear.
