Body Talk with Ryza Cenon

FUNFARE - Ricky Lo - The Philippine Star

Maybe as a teaser for the GMA Bong Revilla-starrer action-adventure Indio where she plays the Spanish señorita Isabel (final airing is next Friday, May 31) who takes a fancy on Sheena Halili whose character disguises as a man, Ryza Cenon admitted in a tabloid interview that, yes, sometimes she gets attracted to women and develops a crush on some of them, naming Angel Aquino as one.

“But I’m not a lesbian,” Ryza told Rose Garcia of Abante. “Babaeng-babae po talaga ako. Nakyu-curious lang ako. Pero hanggang doon lang naman po ‘yon.”

Now that she has finally agreed to pose as FHM cover girl, expect girls to have a “crush” on Ryza who, at 25, is convinced that it’s high time she dared to, saying, “Kailan pa ako magpo-pose, kapag matanda na ako?”
A StarStruck alumna, Ryza, a Sagittarian, stands 5’2”; weighs 101 lbs.; measures 33-25-34; and wears small-size dress and size-6 shoes.

How did you prepare (any body enhancement?) for the FHM pictorial?

“They gave me only 10 days to prepare. I only ate white meat and fruits, no soda or juice, just water. I also worked out at home. I say no to enhancement. I’m happy with my body now.”

Why did it take you so long to say yes to it?

“Before, I wasn’t ready to pose for FHM. My body was too ‘nene’ and I don’t like to commit to something if my heart is not really there. But now, I’m physically, mentally and emotionally ready. I also liked the concept. They chose Rihanna as my peg and it’s cool because it fits my personality.”

What kind of workout do you do?

“I do crunches, jogging, wall climbing and squats.”

What part of your body needs improvement?

“Hmmm…none! As what I’ve said, I’m happy with my body.”

Favorite part of your body?

“My legs.”

Part of a man’s body that you notice first?

“His eyes.”

What about your diet?

“No rice, no pork, no sodas, just chicken, turkey, fish, fruits and a little bit of veggies.”

What is for breakfast, for lunch and for dinner?

“For breakfast: Pancakes and fruits. For lunch: Baked chicken and mashed potato. For dinner: Fruits.”

Any snacks between meals?

“Nuts and dark chocolates.”

What medicines and vitamins do you take?

“Tums and airborne.”

How much water do you take per day?

“More than eight glasses of water.”

How many pillows do you sleep with?

“10 pillows.”

Favorite sleepwear?

“Tank top and boy shorts.”

Do you snore or sleepwalk?

“Yes, I think I snore but not all the time, pag pagod lang ako. Sleepwalk? Thank heavens, I don’t!”

Last thing that you do before you go to sleep?

“I pray and thank God for all the blessings I receive every day.”

First thing that you do as soon as you wake up?

“I smile then I stretch.”

How do you cope with stress?

“Hmmm. I just lie on my bed and listen to my favorite music.”

Favorite hideaway?

“My room.”

Do you have a night life?

“Nope, I’m kind of a home bud.”

How’s your love life (may boyfriend)?

“Zero. Zero. Zero! I enjoy being single.”

Describe your outlook in life.

“Don’t be dependent on others to meet your needs. They’ll let you down every time. And that’s because meeting your needs is not their job — it’s your job.”

Name three women that you think have bodies as nice as yours.

“Angel Aquino, Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera.”

And three men that you think have nice bodies.

“Sam Milby, Aljur Abrenica and Dingdong Dantes.”

Using only body language, how would you make a man know that you admire him?

“I look at him then give him a sweet smile.”
