4-year-old Fil-Czech 'Bruno Mars' returns to 'Ellen'

Camille Diola - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Television talk show host Ellen DeGeneres featured Kai Langer, an adorable four-year old boy of Filipino and Czech descent, for the second time on her award-winning show Wednesday night.

Langer, described by the show's producer as a "YouTube singing sensation," was watched by thousands all over the world for his hilarious cover of Bruno Mars' hit single"Grenade" before he was invited to the The Ellen DeGeneres show last March.

On his second appearance May 8, the boy who made it his signature look to wear a fedora just like the pop star, serenaded Ellen with "When I Was Your Man," another Mars single.

YouTube endorsed the video on its Twitter account early on Thursday (Manila time) upon seeing the video's potential to also go viral.

"This adorable 4-year-old singer stole our hearts when he sang the Bruno Mars hit 'Grenade.' He's back, and if you thought that was cute, wait 'til you see this," the show's producers posted.

Overnight, the video has earned over 80,000 views on the video sharing site.

His first show guesting, meanwhile, was uploaded on YouTube on March 6 and gained almost 10 million views as of posting time.

Two days after their memorable Ellen guesting, Langer and his family were in the airport on their way back to their hometown in San Antonio in Texas when DeGeneres had Mars himself meet with the aspiring toddler.

"(Mars) and his girlfriend had seen the video on YouTube of (Langer) singing the song so (at the airport) he sang to him. I planned that whole thing. It was my idea," the celebrated talk show host and comedienne said.
