E! ignites your weekends with Saturdays
MANILA, Philippines - After making several hit singles that topped the UK charts and a fashion line under their belts, The Saturdays travel across the pond to wow the US audience with their catchy tunes and a new album, The Chase. Watch them make a mark in the US music scene in the new series, Chasing the Saturdays, as they appear in tours and guest appearances around the country.
The group is composed of talented young singers: Party animal Vanessa White, the outspoken Frankie Sandford, the stunning Mollie King, the multi-talented Una Healy and the fashion-loving Rochelle Humes.
Vanessa is the only member of mixed English-Filipina heritage; born in Somerset to a British native and a Filipina nurse from Davao. She hasn’t forgotten her Asian roots since she admires the likes of Sharon Cuneta though Charice is her current favorite singer. Named the party starter of the group, she is dating stylist and professional photographer, Gary Salter. While touring, their relationship hits a rough patch and she gets a doctor’s note that could affect her vocals.
Frankie is known as the most outspoken member of the group and sports a sassy look with her stylish pixie haircut. Her current beau, Wayne Bridge, is a hunky Manchester footballer. Although very vocal with her views, she has been battling depression while touring in the US.
Mollie is the only unattached member of the group despite being a stunning fashionista with great legs. While still trying to get over a past relationship, the rest of the group has made it their goal to find her Mr. Right while on tour.
Una is the only non-native Londoner of the group. Hailing from Ireland, the red-headed bombshell was an all-Ireland swimming champion in addition to being an accomplished guitarist and composer. She is happily married to English Rugby union player, Ben Foden, and has a daughter with him.
Rochelle is a self-confessed shopaholic who wouldn’t be caught dead without heels. She recently married JLS boy band member Marvin Humes just before she joins the US tour. While the pressure of touring mounts on the group, the Saturdays do an intervention to help alleviate the stress that is slowly straining Rochelle’s relationship.
