Rocking April at The Grills, Alabang

MANILA, Philippines - April sizzles at The Grills at South Station in Alabang, Muntinlupa City when it holds this month’s edition of Rock Fest, a gathering of the best local bands Friday nights at 9.

On April 19, acoustic group El Rythmo performs. The band is composed of Randell “Triggz” Tan (vocals); Eric Limjuco (rhythm guitars); Jopet Batanez (bass); Francis Estacio (lead guitar); Richard Valera (cajon); and Rocky Roads (drums). The band specializes in covers of adult contemporary staples as well as hits from the ’70s onwards.

The Dawn takes the stage on April 26. Considered one of the longest-lived groups in the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) industry, The Dawn is comprised of rock legend Jett Pangan (vocals); Buddy Zabala (bass); Kenneth Ilagan (guitar); and JB Leonor (drums). They have popularized such hits as Love Will Set Us Free, Tulad ng Dati and Talaga Naman. They also won an NU Rock Award for Best Live Act.
