Ai-Ai/Jed church wedding on Dec. 8

First, a wedding announcement (relayed to Funfare by STAR’s Davao-based reporter Edith Regalado):

Reelectionist Sen. Chiz Escudero, 44, wants to marry his girlfriend Heart Evangelista, 28, before Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name congregation. Chiz asked Quiboloy to officiate the wedding last Saturday when he visited the pastor. Although Chiz’s marriage to Christine “Tintin” Flores (with whom he has twins) has been annulled, the lover boy can’t marry anybody else in church just yet. No wedding date was set.

Speaking of weddings, did Ai-Ai delas Alas and Jed Salang really get married last April 3 in Las Vegas?

Pending confirmation by Ai-Ai, a big question mark(?) hangs suspended. It could be possible but then again it couldn’t be.

What’s confirmed as reported in a Funfare “scoop” three Mondays ago (March 25) is that Jed did propose to Ai-Ai a few days before they flew to the US on March 24. The proposal came after the lovers kissed and made up after an LQ (Lovers’ Quarrel). It was Jed’s way of proving to Ai-Ai once and for all that he’s serious in their relationship.

At 48, Ai-Ai is said to be “expecting.” She has three children from two past relationships. Jed has a love child with his former girlfriend.

Funfare sources said that Ai-Ai and Jed are definitely getting married in church in the Philippines (and not somewhere else) on Dec. 8 this year, the same date they’ve been mentioning as D-day.

Incidentally, why would Ai-Ai and Jed get married (if they really did) in Las Vegas…at a chapel at the bend?

Jojo Gabinete reported in his Abante column yesterday that he checked (via Internet) the records of Clark County of Las Vegas and Ai-Ai and Jed’s names were not (yet?) there.

“Reliable source ang marriage records ng Clark County,” said Jojo who confirmed that among the couples on record there include Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos (Aug. 5, 1980), Nida Blanca and Rod Strunk (Jan. 22, 1979), Nora Villamayor and Richard James Merk (July 13, 1988), and Nora Villamayor and Norie Z. Sayo (May 31, 2000).

Ai-Ai and Jed are still in the US, enjoying their vacation (“honeymoon?”) with Ai-Ai’s ex-boyfriend (US-based) Miguel Vera (father of Nicolo and Sophia; including Sancho, Ai-Ai’s son from a previous relationship) and Ai-Ai’s adoptive mother.
