More fun with Kapatid at Araw ng Dabaw

Ver Paulino - The Philippine Star

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Kapatid Network turned Araw ng Dabaw into one exciting and fun-filled day as Kapatid stars spread cheers and brought smiles to Davaoeños in two consecutive shows of fun and entertainment dubbed as Go5! Live sa Araw ng Dabaw.

The event was TV5’s way of thanking Davaoeños for patronizing Kapatid programs and personalities.

Last March 16, beginning 3 p.m., deafening shrieks filled the air when Kidlat star Wendell Ramos greeted the audience who trooped to Abreeza Mall’s event center.

Kidlat leading ladies Ritz Azul and Nadine Samonte then got their fair share of the spotlight when the crowd burst into thunderous roars as they entered and performed on stage.

The young and old alike shrieked in excitement and cheered when Kidlat lead star Derek Ramsay appeared and joined the parlor games with selected fans.

That same day, the exciting moments continued in the early evening as the TV5 Serye Caravan rolled out in the city’s Rizal Park. Over 10,000 fans, unmindful of the heat, stood all throughout the show to watch their favorite Kapatid programs like Kidlat, Never Say Goodbye, Lokomoko U and Face to Face.

Joining the Kidlat stars Derek, Nadine, Ritz and Wendell were Artista Academy winners and Never Say Goodbye lead stars Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert.

Now known as SoVin to their fans, Sophie and Vin were thrilled to be part of the regional event. “We’re glad that people appreciated our presence, nakaka-tuwa at nakaka-taba ng puso ang pagsuporta nila sa amin,” Vin said.

The Kapatid show ended with more joy and laughter for the Davaoñeos.
