Taylor tops pop & country charts

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Taylor Swift holds the No. 1 position of both the country and pop radio airplay charts in the US  with two different singles from her five-time Platinum album RED, released on Big Machine Records.

Begin Again, the second song released to country radio from RED, scores the No. 1 position this week atop the country Aircheck/Mediabase Country chart, reaching a US airplay audience of more than 50 million radio listeners. At pop radio, Taylor is currently in her sixth consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s mainstream Top 40 chart and in her fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Mediabase Pop chart with I Knew You Were Trouble, her second global pop chart-topper from RED.

Begin Again and Trouble have each reached No. 1 on both the all-genre and country iTunes singles sales charts. Both followed the release of RED’s lead single, the international pop and country No. 1 smash We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

Taylor will also kick off her highly-anticipated The Red Tour on March 13, with special guests like Ed Sheeran, whose duet with Taylor on Red, Everything Has Changed, reached the No. 1 position atop the iTunes all-genre Top Songs chart.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s fans all over the Philippines can now have the chance to sing along to their favorite tracks in the brand-new karaoke album version of Red featuring 16 tracks. The CD/DVD combo includes CD plus graphics and a separate DVD with lyrics and the original recorded music from Red.

Grab a copy of Taylor’s Red karaoke which will be available this month in all Odyssey O Music and Video stores as well as Astroplus/Astrovision outlets nationwide.

The album can now be downloaded via iTunes.
