Enjoying the life online

MANILA, Philippines - These days, Regine Velasquez is not only enjoying the limelight but also the life online. 

“I’m always online now,” shares Regine. “It’s a good way to promote shows, like my recent concert (Foursome with Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez and husband Ogie Alcasid). We promoted it through Instagram and Twitter. (Going online) is faster. It’s exciting.”

“I’m not really a techie person. As a matter of fact, I was the last person to own a cell phone,” shares Regine in jest. “Kasi taga-Bulacan ako at walang masyadong connection. I just saw (from the video) and learned that Bulacan is now included in areas with Fibr. So nagiging sosyal na kami at lume-level up na. I used to be scared of getting high-tech.”

The latest broadband product allows Regine to keep in touch with family and friends even on a busy schedule. The Asia’s Songbird hosts weekly shows Sarap TV and H.O.T. TV on GMA 7. Lame excuses like “I have no time” and “Your place is far from mine” are no longer in vogue.

“Since me and my siblings have our own families, it’s good to have a strong connection,” says Regine. Fibr brings the strongest connection to homes, she quickly adds.

Aside from buffer-free connection, cineastes can watch Hollywood movies for free. “Matipid,” says Regine. “And soon, you will enjoy Filipino blockbuster movies including mine. The strongest connections are at home.” One can enjoy this via movie-on-demand streaming called Clickplay.
