St. Theresa’s College holds grand reunion & homecoming

MANILA, Philippines - Award-winning composer Dero Pedero will be one of the featured guests at the St. Theresa’s College grand reunion to be held tomorrow, Feb. 23, at the Sofitel Hotel. Pedero has written such pop music hits as Isang Mundo Isang Awit, Narito Ako, Ang Lahat ng Ito’y Para sa Iyo, the Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Earth theme songs, and memorable advertising tunes like the popular SM Shoemart jingle.

The grand homecoming, titled GLEE: A Theresian Musical, is hosted by St. Theresa’s College Manila HS Batch ’78. It is expected to bring together STC alumni from all over the country and around the world. The excitement is building up as different batches including the performing group LIKAS under its musical director Angelica Adia-Tolentino are in rigorous rehearsals for the production numbers.

Other celebrity guests include singer Leah Navarro, a product of STC Manila. Among the prominent members of STC Manila HS Batch ’78 are former Miss Universe Philippines Dang Cecilio-Palanca, and former newscaster and Membership Division manager of Manila Polo Club Inc., Thelma Aranda-Sugay.

Officers of the STC HS Batch ’78 are Cecilia Ordoñez-Francisco, president; Dr. Jocelyn Tan, vice president; Ester Follosco-Bautista, treasurer; Criselda Cecilio-Palanca, PRO; Rainella Anbayle Postrero, auditor; Dr. Ana Maria Tan-Delfin, board member; Judge Josette Navarro, corporate secretary; and Joy Wilson, over-all administrative assistant.
