Feb. shows at MOA

MANILA, Philippines - The Mall of Asia Arena — the premier concert place in country — will be the venue of some of the most exciting performances of international and local homegrown talents this month. 

Foursome, the biggest Valentine concert of the year brings together Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Pops Fernandez and Martin Nievera, who will serenade the audience with love songs tonight at 8.

Tomorrow, Feb. 15, the American rock band Paramore will return to Manila with special guest mewithoutyou, at 8 p.m. A Grammy-nominated group from Tennessee, Paramore’s hit singles include The Only Exception, That’s What You Get and Decode from the soundtrack to the film Twilight.

Korean rapper Psy’s much-awaited concert, Ang Tanging Family Valentine Show, will happen on Feb. 16 at 8:30 p.m. Psy, a Korean singer, songwriter and record producer, is best known for his 2012 hit Gangnam Style — a song about the lifestyle in the Gangnam District in Seoul. His guests include Ai-Ai delas Alas, Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo.

Original Pinoy Music (OPM) songwriting takes center stage with the Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs Finals Night on Feb. 24, 8 p.m. Now on its fifth year, ABS-CBN’s Himig Handog is the country’s first interactive multimedia songwriting competition. It aims to discover gifted composers whose works will be the next OPM hits. It will feature Angeline Quinto, Daniel Padilla, Toni Gonzaga, Aiza Seguerra, Jovit Baldivino, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos, and many more.

Foursome, the concerts of Paramore and Psy, and the Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs Finals Night are just one of the many exciting events at MOA Arena.
