Kidlat cast shows gratitude

MANILA, Philippines - TV5’s Kidlat cast members showed their gratitude for the continued success of their teleserye through a Thanksgiving Mass and a press conference last Thursday night, Jan. 31 at the Carte Blanche Restaurant in Sct. Borromeo, Quezon City.

Derek Ramsay’s Kidlat family came in full force: Nadine Samonte, Ritz Azul, Baron Geisler, Lou Veloso, Erika Padilla, Mike Magat and child stars Junyka Santarin and Solomon de Guzman. This is Derek’s first time to portray a superhero and his second show on Kapatid Network. “Our show’s ratings are getting better and better and I’m just really happy with the good reviews and how successful Kidlat is,” said Derek. The show follows the story of Voltaire (Derek), an ordinary man with extraordinary powers, who uses his powers to counter day-to-day crime.

Also present were TV5 head of creative and entertainment production Perci Intalan and TV5 PR head Peachy Guioguio.

Directed by Mike Tuviera, Kidlat airs weeknights at 6:45 p.m. and also stars Christopher de Leon, Chanda Romero, Wendell Ramos, Jay Manalo, Assunta de Rossi, Gerard Pizarras, Nanette Inventor, Andrea del Rosario, Rainier del Castillo, Jerald Napoles, Lian Valentin, Joy Viado, Juliana Mendoza, Kristel Fulgar, Koko De Santos, Niña Jose and BJ Forbes.
