UniFirst CEO as undercover boss

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The recession was a huge setback for a lot of companies and employees in the previous years in the US, but according to UniFirst CEO Ronald Croatti, not under his watch.

This is a specifically rough road to tread, because UniFirst is an apparel and textile services company which supplies workforce uniforms to over 200,000 customers nationwide. “If people aren’t working, we don’t have people to put our uniforms on,” says the CEO.

And in the episode of Undercover Boss, watch as Croatti slips in in one of those work wears they so popularly produce as he disguises himself as just another worker in his production floors. Croatti is no stranger to the terrain, though. Starting out as a family business, the now CEO also used to be in the sidelines and even run the sewing machines in his earlier years. According to Croatti, the experience with Undercover Boss has been an eye-opener, leading him to plenty new ideas. There’s always room for improvement, Croatti points out.

Undercover Boss is an award winning reality TV show where company executives are made to trade their tailored suits for jumpsuits before they are sent out to do the dirty jobs in their own business. Will Croatti’s employees, or “team partners” as he would like to call them, be able to recognize the big boss working the textiles? Will he be able to perform the tasks that his 10,000 employees perform every day or will he blow his cover? Find out if the undercover mission is a success or not on Solar News Channel.

Undercover Boss Season 2 initial airing is Sundays with replays on Mondays at 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
