Tropang Potchi features 3 short films

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - This Saturday, Dec. 29, on GMA 7’s Tropang Potchi, three more short film entries for the Potchilikula: Short Film Festival for the Kids 2012 will be featured together with guest, Pekto, as he shares Filipino superstitious beliefs.

Witness the visit of Kagawad Tonyo (Pekto), a friend from a barangay who takes  superstitious beliefs seriously practiced by Filipinos in celebrating New Year like wearing clothes designed with polka dots, preparing 12 different kinds of fruits, jumping on New Year’s Eve, among others.

Kagawad Tonyo will be amused by the Tropang Potchi barkada as they will watch the three film entries for Potchilikula 2012. First is Pa-Kontest by Karissa Mae Nieverra of Navotas Elementary School with her director-mentor Marie Jamora and ka-Potchi Julian Trono. Bagong Sapastos is the title of the second film made by Christine Abbey Esguerra of Rincon Elementary School together with director-mentor King Baco and Lenlen Frial. Last is Munting Regalo of Venice Carla Sarmiento of Highway Hills Integrated School with direk Pam Miras and Liane Valentino.
