Ney bags Awit Awards trophy

MANILA, Philippines - Ney Dimaculangan recently bagged the Awit Awards’ Best Performance by a New Male Recording Artist trophy for the song Ligaw.His latest solo project, Ney, under Star Records showcases his versatility as a musician with all 10 songs written, arranged and produced by the singer himself.

Formerly known as 6Cyclemind’s vocalist, Ney is ready to venture into the music scene on his own. With 6Cyclemind, he was able to release five highly-successful albums with chart-topping hits such as Sandalan, Sige, Prinsesa, Upside Down, Magsasaya, Kasalanan and Kung Wala Na Nga, among others.

Ney also participated in special projects for both the movie and television industry, having songs included in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, RPG Metanoia (Kaya Mo) and Imortal (Walang Hanggan), with the former winning the Best Theme Song award during the 2010 MMFF.
