For the second time, the video game’s popularity has translated on the big screen and took in nearly $100M at the worldwide box-office.

In Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run — always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. On the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

The production is full of astounding special effects that will leave you mind-blown even after the movie. With the underworld creatures that Heather encounters, your experience becomes more frightening and exciting. Some of the demons and creatures that you should be afraid of include the Mannequin Monsters (which are similar to spiders, but with mannequin heads and legs, with the heads serving as their eyes) and the Missionary (a humanoid creature with four discs sticking out of its head, blades on its arms and exposed teeth. The Missionary is the monster form of Claudia Wolf, another character to look forward to in the movie. Other creatures are Alessa who has strong supernatural powers; the Nurses; the Faceless Monsters; Leonard Wolf; the Lobotomy; Valtiel; and the notorious Red Pyramid.

The movie opens today in 2D and 3D theaters.
