Renee Olstead joins Chris Botti’s Christmas concert in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - American actress and jazz singer Renee Olstead sings for her Pinoy music fans with Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti in a concert titled Christmas With Botti at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila.

Growing up on screen in sitcoms (Still Standing, The Secret Life of the American Teenager) and Hollywood movies (13 Going on 30, End of Days, Space Cowboys, The Bling Ring), Olstead debuted as a singer in her self-titled album produced by David Foster in 2004. The album received positive critical reviews, including a 2005 Grammy nomination.

Botti and Olstead have worked together previously on Botti’s 2005 album To Love Again: The Duets and on the 2006 DVD Chris Botti Live with Orchestra and Special Guests.

The concert is the second Manila outing for Chris Botti this year, following the success of Chris Botti Live in Manila last June 19.

Christmas with Botti is set for the holiday stage on Dec. 6 and is an event by Radio High 105.9/fm, for the benefit of Children’s Hour.
