Two near-wins for Phl in one night

MANILA, Philippines - Saturday (Nov. 24) night was a victorious one for two Philippines bets in international beauty contests, one for female and the other for male.

2012 Stephany Stefanowitz (right in photo at left) finished second (first runner-up) to Czech Republic’s Tereza Faksova in the 2012 Miss Earth search held at the Versailles Clubhouse in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The other runners-up were Venezuela’s Osmariel Villalobos (Miss Water) and Brazil’s Camila Brant.

Model/actor/athlete Andrew James Peñaflorida Wolff (right in photo at right)was named also second placer (first runner-up) to Colombia’s Francisco Javier Escobar Parra (a Business Administration student in Cali, Colombia) in the 2012 Mr. World Pageant held in Kent, England. Andrew was handpicked for the contest by Cory Quirino who holds the franchise to the Mr. World Pageant as well as to that of Miss World. Second runner-up was Leo Delaney of Ireland.
