GMA bags awards at 26th PMPC Star Awards

MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network brought home top awards at the recently-concluded 26th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television 2012 held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater of Ateneo de Manila University.

Bagging her fourth Best Magazine Show Host trophy was Jessica Soho. Her program, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, also won its third Best Magazine Show award.

Now on its 13th year, I-Witness remains at the top of its game after winning the Best Documentary Program award. Hosts Howie Severino, Kara David, Jay Taruc and Sandra Aguinaldo shared the Best Documentary Program Host award. 

Wish Ko Lang!, on the other hand, received the Best Public Service Program award. Host Vicky Morales won the Best Female Newscaster award.

Richard Gutierrez  was recognized as Best Lifestyle/Travel Show Host for Pinoy Adventures.

The network also boasts of its world-class entertainment programs and artists. Amaya, topbilled by Marian Rivera, was declared the Best Drama Series.

Meanwhile, Rufa Mae Quinto walked away as one of the recipients of  Best Comedy Actress award for her role in Bubble Gang.

German Moreno received the special award Natatanging Alagad ng Telebisyon for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
