Superheroes gather on Toonami

MANILA, Philippines - A new adventure begins as the world’s greatest heroes gather together on Toonami, the country’s most exciting action TV channel.

To be launched on Dec. 1, Toonami is a 24-hour, high-octane ride serving up animated hits like Young Justice, Dragon Ball Z and Batman: The Brace and the Bold to boys and girls alike. A socially-charged, multi-platform experience, Toonami is a superhero fantasy: A full tilt over the top, roller-coaster ride of adventure, quips, drama and a lot more.

“With the launch of Toonami, Filipino kids will have 24/7 access to the most electrifying entertainment available. For the first time anywhere in the world, viewers will be able to see the Spider-Man and the Hulk meet Iron Man and Guku on the same channel. It really is the ultimate home of the action hero,” said Sunny Saha, SVP and managing director of Turner International Asia Pacific.

Toonami is a channel for the fans and by the fans — and the excitement extends beyond television into the online and social media space.

To kick off Toonami’s launch, budding science-fiction writers can play an active part in the channel’s origins which center on NAMI, an A.I. life form from the future. From Dec. 1 to Jan. 31, fans can pitch ideas as to how to complete NAMI’s history.

The winning entry will be created into an animated clip for the channel and a customized comic book.
