Eddie & Josephine in Summer Love

A lot of youth-oriented films with summer love as theme have been made… and are still being made. One of the earliest is the Eddie Gutierrez and Josephine Estrada starrer titled, what else, Summer Love (1968). Young romance mingled with laughter and music, and a little suffering, are the ingredients of those movies — then and now.

Also starring in Summer Love are pretty and shapely Bessie Barredo, comedians Patsy and Ike Lozada, and character actress Lilian Lain.

Josephine, long-time US resident and former Miss Philippines, produced Summer Love. Eddie, former matinee idol, turned into a fine, award-winning actor. — RKC
