Mocha Girls is PMPC Best Dance awardee

MANILA, Philippines - The Mocha Girls are in cloud nine after winning the PMPC’s Best Dance Album of the Year for the second time. The same award was given to them by the PMPC last 2009. Truly, the Mocha Girls have all the reasons to celebrate with their current and upcoming projects. Dubbed as the country’s YouTube sensation, the group now enjoys its popularity on the web specially after posting its own version of the famous Gangnam Style. In just five days, the video got one million views, with high approval from the netizens. Also this month, the Mocha Girls will be appearing on the cover of Playboy Magazine. “I’ve been on the cover of various magazines before but the one I did with Playboy is the most daring so far,” Mocha says. Appearing on the magazine with Mocha are the other four members of the group namely, Chloe Recto, Franz Faisan, Yumi Ociman and Mae dela Cerna. Aside from their regular shows, the Mocha Girls will also tour the US and Canada in November. The have done shows in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Qatar, Dubai and Bahrain.

Expect more from the Mocha Girls as they come up with a short film titled Super Mocha Girls and a Cinemalaya entry before the year ends.
