SOCO probes love-triangle murder

MANILA, Philippines - Gus Abelgas (photo) will look into a love triangle rocked by revenge and jealousy that led to the murder of a businessman this afternoon on ABS-CBN’s SOCO: Scene of the Crime Operatives.

Jose Martinez was robbed and shot to death at his home in Caloocan City by a man identified as the lover of his live-in partner Maricel, who is accused of organizing the killing as an act of revenge against the victim.

The victim, who was allegedly physically and verbally abusive towards Maricel, found out she and her suspect-boyfriend met up in secret from time to time. This prompted the two to devise a plan to kill Joey.

How were police authorities able to determine that Maricel cheated on Jose and eventually conspired with her newfound lover to kill her live-in partner?
