Elton John at Big Dome on Dec. 8

MANILA, Philippines - This just in: Elton John (photo) is coming for a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Dec. 8. Except for that short notice, the Funfare DPA revealed no further details.

His fans hope that during his concert, John will sing Candle in the Wind (among his other hits), the moving song he wrote for his good friend Princess Diana when she died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

In his four-decade career, John sold more than 250 million records. In 1994, he was inducted into the Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame. Named Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1996, John received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 1998 for his music and charity projects.
