Julia Montes wears Miladay

MANILA, Philippines - Magic was definitely in the air during the Star Magic Ball held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel last Sept. 1 as stars of the talent agency paraded in the red carpet looking like royalties straight out of a fairy tale. Following a black and white theme, the night was a spectacle to behold with the ladies in gowns of soft tulle and lace and the men groomed and dapper in sleek suits.

Rising among the sea of stars, however, is primetime princess Julia Montes who truly stole the show by bedecking herself with pieces from some of the biggest names in the world of fashion and jewelry. Her gown, which truly made her stand out, was a stunning creation of feathers, diamonds, and tulle from Filipino fashion extraordinaire Pepsi Herrera. Of course, no ball will be complete without a stunning set of jewelry. Despite rumors that Enchong Dee has asked her to be her date for the event, the star of Walang Hanggan graced the party solo. She was given the Sweetheart of the Night Award, one of the most coveted awards among the 11 recognitions given to the stars during the event.

The event, which also served as the grand celebration of Star Magic’s 20th anniversary, was hosted by Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz and John Lapus.
