Jojo Alejar, 1st celebrity contestant of UNTV's ASOP

MANILA, Philippines - “All I want for my composition is to be heard and sung by many and bring them closer to God. I am not after the prize or prestige.” These were the few words expressed by late-night TV show host Jojo Alejar in an interview about the making of his introduction video of A Song Of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival for this Sunday’s episode.

Jojo recalled that his first masterpiece Praise and Thank You Lord (the one he submitted to ASOP office) was written because of a promise to make the first song using his first electronic organ dedicated to God.

His song entry, which features an upbeat tempo, will be interpreted by Gian Magdangal.

To sit in the panel of judges are Vehnee Saturno, Marissa Sanchez and Rannie Raymundo.

ASOP Music Festival, hosted by Richard Reynoso and Toni Rose Gayda, airs Sunday nights at 7 on UNTV.
